River Town Race Series
Geisinger Sports Medicine is proud to be one of a select few sponsors of the River Town Race Series Central Pennsylvania’s ultimate season-long, cross-discipline race series. The racing season begins every year in March with the Geisinger Humdinger, a 7.1 mile trail run, and continues with races of varying difficulty designed to give seasoned racers and beginners experiences that are second-to-none.
Each year, the Rivertown Race Series expands to include more races and more competitors, and the role of Geisinger Sports Medicine has grown to meet their needs. For example, Geisinger’s Sports Medicine fellows outline all of the medical needs for the Series, and Geisinger’s Certified Athletic Trainers provide medical coverage at all of the races. You’ll also notice Geisinger’s name on the Cheer Cards at each event.
As part of our commitment to the health of the participants of the River Town Race Series, the experts at Geisinger Sports Medicine have compiled the training schedules and informational downloads below. We hope it will help all athletes to be proactive in their care – training properly and staying healthy to prevent injuries.
