Athletic Trainers, Danville
| Geisinger’s Athletic Trainers are a valuable component of any sports team or competition. They are on location, experienced, and backed by a complete health care team - including fellowship-trained sports medicine physicians - offering shared expertise in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of all types of injuries. Geisinger Athletic Trainers develop overall sports medicine programs; provide athletic training services at practices and competitions; and coordinate and schedule medical referrals and physical examinations with physicians for student-athletes within 24 hours of injury, to expedite medical care. Geisinger Athletic Trainers are contracted to provide care in a variety of settings including community events, outreach clinics, high schools and universities, and professional sports. A select group of athletic trainers are dually certified as strength coaches and host Performance Camps for athletes during the summer. | |
